Valuable Quickstart Guide
Get up and running with Valuable in 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the essentials to start inventorying items right away.
Step 1: Create Your Account (1 minute)

- Download Valuable from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android)
- Open the app and tap Sign Up
- Enter your email and create a password
- Check your email for a verification code
- Enter the code to verify your account
You're in! You start with 40 free credits to try AI features.
Step 2: Create Your First Project (1 minute)
Projects are how you organize items. Create one for your first inventory job.
- On the home screen, tap the teardrop-shaped button (bottom of screen)
- Select Create New Project
- Name your project (e.g., "Smith Estate Sale" or "My Collection")
- Optionally add location, dates, and other details
- Tap Create
Your project is ready!
Step 3: Add Your First Item with AI (2 minutes)
Now let's add an item and see the AI in action.

- Tap the camera icon on the teardrop button
- Take 1-6 photos of your item:
- Get an overall shot
- Capture any maker's marks or labels
- Show important details
- Add notes (optional) - tap the microphone to dictate or type
- Tap the checkmark to save
- Select Create with AI
The AI will:
- Identify what the item is
- Generate a description
- Find comparable sales for pricing
- Suggest categories and keywords
This uses 3 credits. The results appear in seconds!
Step 4: Review and Price Your Item (1 minute)

- Tap the item to open it
- Browse the tabs:
- Details - Name, description, price, notes
- Photos - All your photos
- Insights - AI-generated information
- Comparables - Similar items that have sold
- Tap "Suggest Price" to get an AI price recommendation (1 credit)
- Accept or edit the price
- Tap Save
Your item is inventoried and priced!
What's Next?
Add More Items
- Keep photographing items one by one
- Or use Bulk Upload to add many items from your photo gallery
Organize with Folders
- Create folders in the navigation panel (tap the folder icon in the lower right) to group projects
- Example: "Active Sales" / "Completed" / "Personal"
Invite Your Team
- Open project settings > Invite Members
- Team members can help inventory and manage items
- Set permissions (Admin, Member, or Guest)

Set AI Instructions
- Tell the AI your preferences (e.g., "Price for Chicago area estate sales")
- Go to project settings > AI Instructions
Prepare for Sale
- Use Marketing Wizard to download photos for listings
- Share items directly to social media or email
Quick Tips
Save credits: Create items "without AI" for things you already know well.
Better results: Take clear photos of maker's marks and labels - they help AI identify items accurately.
Stay organized: Name projects descriptively (date + client/location works well).
Work offline: Items save locally and upload when you're back online.
Get help: Tap the ? icon anytime for support options.
