It's designed for estate sale professionals, antique dealers, collectors, appraisers, and anyone managing valuable physical assets.
Who is Valuable for?
Valuable serves several types of users:
- Estate sale professionals - Inventory entire estates, price items, and prepare for sales
- Antique dealers and resellers - Research and price inventory for shops or online sales
- Collectors - Catalog collections with photos, descriptions, and valuations
- Appraisers - Document items with AI-assisted research

Is Valuable available on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Valuable is available on both the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). Both apps have the same features and functionality.
How much does Valuable cost?
Valuable is free to download and use. Core features like inventory management, photo storage, and team collaboration are always free with no limits. AI-powered features use credits, which you can purchase as needed. New accounts start with 40 free credits. See our Pricing page for credit package details.
Where does Valuable get its pricing data?
Valuable's AI searches multiple sources including online marketplaces (eBay, Etsy, auction houses), estate sale records, and public databases. We use proprietary AI curation to organize and analyze comparable sales relevant to your specific item.

Projects & Organization
What is a project in Valuable?
A project is a container for organizing related items. Think of it like a folder. You might create projects for:
- Individual estate sales (e.g., "Johnson Estate - March 2024")
- Client collections
- Your personal inventory
- Specific categories (e.g., "Antique Furniture")
How do I create a new project?
- Tap the teardrop-shaped button (FAB) on your home screen
- Select "Create New Project"
- Follow the wizard to name your project, set location, and configure options
- Tap "Create" to finish
What are folders?
Folders help you organize multiple projects. For example, you might have a folder called "Active Sales" containing all your current estate sale projects, and another called "Completed" for finished ones.
How do I archive a project?
- Open the project
- Tap the menu icon (three dots)
- Select "Edit Project"
- Change the status from "Active" to "Archived"
- Save your changes
Archived projects are hidden from your main view but all data is preserved. You can unarchive them anytime.
Can I delete a project?
Yes. Open the project, tap the menu icon, and select "Delete Project." This permanently removes the project and all its items. This action cannot be undone.
How do I move a project to a different folder?
- Open the project
- Tap the menu icon
- Select "Move"
- Choose the destination folder
- Confirm the move
Adding Items (Assets)
How do I add an item to my inventory?
There are three ways to add items:
With AI (recommended):
- Tap the camera icon on the teardrop FAB
- Take 1-6 photos of your item
- Optionally add notes
- Tap save and select "Create with AI"
- AI will identify the item, generate a description, and find comparable sales
Without AI (manual):
- Tap the teardrop FAB and select "Create Item without AI"
- Take photos
- Enter details manually
- Save
Bulk upload:
- Tap the teardrop FAB and select "Bulk Upload Photos"
- Select multiple photos from your gallery
- Each photo (or group) becomes a separate item
- AI processes each item
How many photos can I take per item?
You can take up to 6 photos per item. We recommend capturing:
- Overall view of the item
- Maker's marks, signatures, or labels
- Any damage or condition issues
- Close-ups of important details
Can I add notes while taking photos?
Yes. While in the camera, tap the microphone icon to dictate notes, or tap the text icon to type. Notes help the AI better identify your item and are saved with the item record.
What's the difference between creating with AI vs without AI?
With AI (3 credits): The AI analyzes your photos to identify the item, generate a description, suggest categories and keywords, and find comparable sales for pricing.
Without AI (free): You take photos and enter all information manually. Good for items you already know well or when you want to save credits.
How do I add items from my photo gallery?
Use the "Bulk Upload Photos" option from the teardrop FAB. You can select multiple existing photos from your device's gallery. Each selection becomes a new item processed by AI.

Troubleshooting
The app is running slowly. What should I do?
- Close and reopen the app
- Check your internet connection
- Make sure you have the latest app version
- Restart your device if problems persist
My photos aren't uploading. What's wrong?
- Check your internet connection
- Look for items in the upload queue (offline icon in bottom bar)
- Make sure you have sufficient storage on your device
- Try uploading on WiFi instead of cellular
AI identification seems wrong. Can I fix it?
Yes. You can edit any AI-generated information:
- Open the item
- Tap Edit
- Correct the name, description, or other details
- Save
You can also tap "Update with AI" after adding better photos or notes.
I can't find my project. Where did it go?
- Check if it's archived (look in archived projects)
- Check if you're in the right account (if you have multiple)
- Use the search in the navigation panel (folder icon in lower right)
- Check if you accidentally left or were removed from a shared project
How do I contact support?
Tap the question mark icon in the bottom navigation bar on the home page to access support options including chat support.
Privacy & Security
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and regular security audits.
Who can see my items?
Only you and people you explicitly invite to your projects can see your items. We never share your data with third parties for marketing.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can download your photos and item information at any time through the app.
How do I delete my account?
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar. Then tap Account Settings. Then tap Delete Account. This will delete all folders, projects, inventory items, credits -- everything -- from that account. This will NOT delete your user profile automatically, because you may still want your email address and login to access other shared accounts you have access to. BUT if you want to delete your login, too, tap the checkbox "Do you want to delete your profile also" and then delete, and your account and all memebership in anyone else's profile will be removed and your user login and profile will be deleted as well.
Valuable — Help & Answers
Folders, archiving & "my content disappeared"
My work / folders suddenly seem to be gone — did I lose my data?
A likely cause: Content is almost never actually deleted. The most common explanation is that a top-level (master/organization) folder was switched to Archived, which hides everything nested inside it — so it looks like the data is gone.
How to check:
- Pull down to refresh the project/folder list.
- Open the navigation panel (tap the folder icon in the bottom navigation bar) to see the full project tree.
- Search for the folder/project by name.
- Confirm you're in the correct account (check the account switcher).
- Look specifically for whether your master/top folder is in an Archived state.
If it's an archived master folder, here's how to bring everything back:
- Tap the nav button (lower left).
- To reveal archived items first, tap the sort/filter button — it likely reads "Name" or "Date" with an up/down arrow. Tap the label text, not the arrow (the arrow only switches ascending/descending). Turn on Show Archived, then exit the filter.
- Use the breadcrumb/header at the top to navigate up until you reach your top organization folder — stop when you see the folder that represents your account (often labeled with your name). That's your master folder.
- Tap the three-dot menu button on that folder and select Unarchive.
- Your projects should now be visible again.
Note: Unarchiving the master folder also unarchives everything inside it, so you'll need to re-archive any individual folders or projects you actually wanted kept archived.
How do I open a project I archived?
A likely cause: The project is fine but hidden by the default filter that excludes archived items.
Steps to view it:
- Open the project finder (tap the magnifying glass / search icon at the top).
- Tap the date/sort/filter option and enable Show Archived (tap the "Name"/"Date" label, not the arrow).
- The archived project appears — open it to see everything inside.
To restore it to active: open it and tap Unarchive (top button), or in Edit/Details set the status to Active.
Account members & permissions
How do I control who can change or move my folders?
A likely cause: People who can restructure your folders have a Group Admin role. Restricting them to Member lets them work in projects without changing your folder/project structure.
Steps:
- Tap nav (bottom left).
- Use the header/breadcrumb to navigate up to your top organization folder (stop when you see your account/master folder).
- Tap the three-dot menu → Manage Members.
- For anyone who shouldn't add/modify projects or folders or manage members, switch their role to Member.
Role meanings: Group Admin = manage members, projects, folders, and settings. Member = add/edit/delete items within a project, but not add/modify projects or the folders that contain them. Guest = view only.
Note: Some parent-account administrators (and the Valuable team) will always appear with admin access, because rights to a parent folder cascade to everything inside it. They can't be removed from that list.
How do I see who's on my account?
- Tap nav (bottom left).
- Breadcrumb up to your top organization folder.
- Tap the three-dot menu → Manage Members to view the user list.
If I remove someone from my organization member list, do they lose access to the app?
Likely answer: Removing a person from the member list for a folder/organization is expected to revoke their access to that folder and everything inside it — they keep their own Valuable account, but they should no longer see or work in your projects once removed.
How to confirm it worked:
- After removing them, reopen Manage Members and confirm the person is no longer listed.
- Have them pull down to refresh (or log out and back in) — your projects should no longer appear for them.
To remove someone:
- Tap nav (bottom left) and breadcrumb up to the top organization folder you want to control.
- Tap the three-dot menu → Manage Members.
- Find the person and remove them — or, if you only want to limit what they can change rather than cut access entirely, switch their role to Member or Guest instead of removing them.
Important: Access that comes from a parent/master folder cascades down — a parent-account administrator (and the Valuable team) will still appear with access to nested folders and can't be removed there. To fully change someone's access, adjust it at the level where they were actually granted it (usually the highest folder you own).
On iOS, tapping "Add Member" / "Manage Members" does nothing
A likely cause: Two candidates. First rule out the simple ones — a connectivity/app-state hiccup, or not having a role that can invite (only Owner or Group Admin can invite). If it fails every time for an Owner/Admin on a good connection, it's more likely something to report.
Normal invite flow: open the org/project → three-dot menu (top right) → Invite Member → enter email → choose role → send.
How to test, in order:
- Check connectivity — toggle airplane mode on/off, or switch between cellular and WiFi (a weak signal can stop the invite screen from loading).
- Force-close the app and reopen it.
- Pull down to refresh the member/project list.
- Update to the latest app version.
- Log out and back in.
If it still does nothing — especially as the Owner/Admin, on a good connection, every time — it's likely not something you can fix on-device. Workaround: complete the member change from the desktop app, or contact support to add the member for you.
Credits, limits & the capture button
Items stuck "in the queue," an "asset creation limit" message, and the capture button seems to have disappeared
A likely cause: You've run out of credits. When the balance reaches zero, AI item creation pauses — new items sit "in the queue," you see "reached your asset creation limit," and the camera/options control can look like it's gone.
How to check: Look at your credit balance under your profile/account. If it's at or near zero, that's almost certainly it.
Option A — top up credits (resumes AI + clears the queue):
- Tap the three-line account button (top left of the home screen).
- Tap Account Settings (profile → Account/Billing → Buy Credits).
- Choose a package and complete checkout. Once topped up, the queue message clears and queued items process automatically. Credits never expire, and no subscription is required.
Option B — keep working for free, without AI/credits:
- In the camera, tap the gear/options button (just above the checkmark "save" button).
- Choose Manual Entry (you name the item yourself after saving) or One-Shot (saves a single photo with a timestamp).
- If items are stuck in the queue and you don't want to top up, delete them and re-capture using Manual or One-Shot.
Note: The camera button and the small options button above it aren't actually missing when you're out of credits. To add photos to an existing item: open the item → Photos tab → add/reorder.
Viewing & sharing items
How do I see one list of all items in a sale, with prices?
A likely cause: The view exists but is behind the "Show all items in Project" toggle.
Steps (mobile):
- Open your project and switch to List View (rows with thumbnails).
- Tap the sort button (it often reads "Date").
- Turn on Show all items in Project.
Every item across all folders now appears in one list with names, prices, and thumbnails. To export: Select All → Export to Excel (bottom-right menu).
When I open a photo inside a folder and then close it, I'm sent back to the main folder list instead of my folder
A likely cause: You're browsing the photos without having opened the project itself first. When the project isn't "opened," closing an item view drops you back to the top-level folder menu instead of the folder you were in.
How to check: Note how you got to the photos — did you tap into pictures straight from the folder list, or did you open the project first?
If that's it, the fix:
- Go to the project and tap the green Open button to enter it.
- Now browse into your folder and tap any picture to enlarge it.
- When you close the picture, you should return to the folder you were in — no need to re-navigate from the main menu.
How do I switch between list, grid, and other views (on my phone vs. my computer)?
Likely answer: Valuable has multiple item views — Grid (compact cards), List (rows with thumbnails), and Detailed (larger cards) — and you switch between them from inside a project.
On the web/desktop (e.g., a Mac): with your inventory open, look for the view tabs across the top of the inventory. The web app also has one extra view mobile doesn't: Table view, a spreadsheet-like UI — and don't miss the button there that lets you add more columns.
On mobile: you switch views from inside a project — open the project and look for the view/layout toggle near the sort control at the top of your items list. If it's not obvious on your device, reply here and we'll point you to the exact spot for your app version.
How do I create a document (with photos) from the items I've collected?
Likely answer: The built-in way is the Excel export — it produces a spreadsheet with item names, descriptions, prices, and photo thumbnails embedded, ready to share with a client.
Steps (mobile):
- Open your project/folder and switch to List or Grid view (not picture view — pictures don't export the same way).
- Tap Select, then Select All.
- Want items from every folder in the project? Tap the sort button (usually says "Date"), turn on Show all items in Project, then Select → Select All.
- Tap the bottom-right menu button and choose Export to Excel.
- You'll get an email with the file when it's ready — tap Download Excel file.
If you need a different format (PDF, printed catalog, etc.), let us know what you're producing and we'll help — the Excel export is the built-in path today.
How do I share a folder with someone?
- Open the folder from the nav panel (folder icon, bottom-left of Home).
- Tap the three-dot menu → Manage Members → Invite Member.
- Enter their email, choose a role (Group Admin / Member / Guest), and tap Send Invitation.
Can I store auction fields like starting bid, bid increments, or reserve?
Current state: There aren't dedicated fields for these yet. Workaround: record them in the item's Notes (on the item's Details tab — it's free-form text and saves with the item). Dedicated auction features are actively being expanded.
Exports, downloads & descriptions
The written item-summary/description is missing from my web ZIP download
A likely cause: A recent web update removed the sale-description button except in one publish route, and it's being fixed. You can still get the description two ways.
Way A — publish wizard:
- Open the publish wizard and select your photos.
- At the end, choose the publish option where you can generate and copy the sale description. You can copy it without actually publishing.
Way B — Legacy UI:
- Tap the Legacy button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- You'll land in the original interface and can download as you used to.
Tip: Set your photo order in the publish wizard first (group like items together, pick the first photo); the downloaded ZIP preserves that order.
Some items' images don't appear (or don't line up) after exporting to an auction platform
Likely causes (two): (1) The export bundles your photos as image files referenced by the catalog; a few items' images can fail to map if those items had broken photo links — most often from photos being reordered or edited while the item was still processing. (2) Some auction platforms reject secure cloud photo URLs, which is why the export ships bundled image files instead — an item whose photos never finished uploading won't have a bundled file to point to.
How to check:
- Before blaming the export, open each affected item in the app and check its Photos tab — do the photos display correctly there? If a photo shows as a broken/blank thumbnail in-app, that's the root cause (not the export step).
- Note whether the affected items are only the ones whose photos were reordered or enhanced shortly after capture (before AI processing finished).
If confirmed, the likely fix:
- For each affected item, re-add or re-upload the photo(s) after the item has fully finished processing (open the item → Photos tab → add/reorder once processing is complete).
- Confirm the photos now display correctly in-app.
- Re-run the export/publish so it picks up the corrected images.
If it still doesn't line up after that, contact support so the team can look at the specific sale.
My photos won't upload at all to an external auction platform (e.g. an estate-sale marketplace)
Likely causes (a few): (1) A photo/asset didn't finish processing before you tried to publish, so there's no ready image file to send. (2) The destination platform is rejecting the upload (secure cloud photo URLs are sometimes rejected, which is why the export bundles image files) — a session or format hiccup on the platform side. (3) An intermittent connection or session timeout during a large batch (uploading many photos at once is more failure-prone).
How to check:
- Open the affected items in the app and confirm the photos display and have finished processing (no spinning/blank thumbnails).
- Try a small batch first (a handful of items) instead of the full set — if the small batch succeeds, the issue is likely batch size / connection, not the data.
- Check connectivity (switch WiFi/cellular) and confirm you're logged into the correct destination platform account.
- Try from a second device/browser to rule out a local session issue.
If it still won't upload:
- Re-run the export/publish once all items show as fully processed in-app.
- Upload in smaller batches rather than all at once.
- If it consistently fails across devices after the above, contact support — this may need a hands-on look at the specific sale.
Plans, billing & team setup
I want my whole team to use Valuable — which plan should I buy, and how do I set everyone up under one account?
Likely answer: Valuable runs on credits (no per-seat subscription required), and multiple people can work together by being invited as members of your top/organization folder. So "one account for the team" usually means: one owner buys/holds the credits, then invites teammates into the organization so they share the same projects and draw from the same credit balance.
How to set up team access:
- Open the nav panel (folder icon, bottom-left of Home) and use the breadcrumb to navigate up to your top organization folder.
- Tap the three-dot menu → Manage Members → Invite Member.
- Enter each teammate's email, choose a role (Group Admin / Member / Guest), and send. Members then work in the shared projects; credits draw from the account that holds them.
For the right plan / credit volume: the best amount depends on how many people will use Valuable and how many sales or jobs you run per month. Tell us those two things and we'll recommend the right credit package.
AI pricing guidance
Suggest Price starts working, then quits back to the photo without giving a price (iOS)
Likely causes (two): (1) Something on your side interrupts the request — zero credit balance (it can fail silently), an outdated app version, or a weak connection. (2) A temporary service-side issue.
How to test, in order:
- Check your credit balance (Price Suggest uses 1 credit) — if you're at zero, top up first.
- Update the app to the latest version in the App Store.
- Force-close the app completely (swipe it away), reopen, and retry.
- Try on strong WiFi instead of cellular.
- Try a different item — does it fail app-wide or only on certain items?
If it still fails after those checks — especially intermittently across several items — it's likely not something you can fix on-device. Contact support so the team can check the service side; a short screen recording of the failure speeds things up a lot.
Suggested prices come in too high, or my pricing rule seems to invert
Likely causes (two): (1) Phrasing ambiguity — "65% off" and "65% of" mean opposite things to the AI. (2) Your instruction change didn't reach the folder the item is in.
Fix the phrasing: Tell it to "price at 65% of (not 65% off) comparables — i.e., 35% below comparable sold prices." Being explicit removes the inversion.
If new prices still don't reflect your change: When you edit AI instructions in the Project Manage tab, only folders created after that change inherit it — pre-existing folders and subfolders won't. Re-apply the instruction to the specific folder, or recreate the item in an updated folder.
Also worth knowing: A few unusually high comparable sales can pull a suggestion upward; reducing the impact of outlier comps is an active improvement area.
